Being the one to always say I'm sorry first (okay maybe not always but mostly)
Being the one to always think about how the other person feels (always; maybe not at first but none-the-less, always)
Being the one to hold my tongue so that things don't escalate (much better now)
Being the one to try and evolve, be better, learn from past mistakes (so not easy)
Is it wrong to stand my ground because it is important to me? or...should I just be the one?
Part of me thinks - yes, it is wrong of course, let it go and the other part of me thinks,
don't be so co-dependant and simply stand.
In the big scheme of things, does it really matter?
Perhaps yes; perhaps no - I don't know the answer and that is the difficult part.

It's OK to be "the one"- who makes the bigger effort....has the leveler head....sees the bigger picture....That is why you have been THE ONE for all these years :) Deep down they need you to be "the one" for them...
Did you take this from my diary?
You looked at my diary too......
MEN!
Oh dear, what is going on? You are sounding very frustrated. I hope things are getting better.
Does this really matter? As long as you are being "the one" who you really are and not who they want you to be than that is ok. I believe as we grow older we all stop worrying and start being. Personally I can't wait to hit my forties! That will be my "I don't care what they think" decade.
